Pinterest marketing can be tricky when your a handmade business owner. Find the right Pinterest strategy here.
I know how you feel when it comes to running your handmade business. There just isn’t enough time in the day to get all the stuff you need to get done, done!

Orders need to be packed, invoices and shipping labels need to be printed, oh and you really need to answer those emails from yesterday, shit!

Making products, taking pictures, packing and shipping, updating your Etsy listings, social media marketing, and on and on it goes.

As a handmade business owner, you wear ALL the hats.

I know how overwhelming it can be, after doing all the things you need to do just to run your business, then you also need to find the time to market your business. Which can be a full-time job in itself!

Marketing your business on social media usually goes something like this…

You get on Facebook to post an update to your business page. Then you get sidetracked looking at the new baby pictures your friend posted and then you decide to check out what everyone else has been up to (since yesterday) and before you know it an hour has gone by! WTF?!

When you finally hit publish on your post, you wonder why you even bother because whenever you do no one even sees it. What’s the freaking point?! You think to yourself there’s got to be a better way.

There is a better way and Pinterest is your answer.

Why?

Well, Pinterest is the only social media platform where your posts (pins) never go away. They actually get better with time. The average half-life of a pin is 3.5 months!

Imagine that…

You can create an image, or use your product photos to drive people directly to your site, get your products seen, build your email list, and get more sales. All with one pin.

It is a fact that people on Pinterest are looking to buy what you’re selling.

With a simple strategy in place, you can use Pinterest to attract the right customers to your business. And you can do it in only 15-30 mins a day!

Imagine looking at your website stats and seeing that 100 people a day (or more) are visiting your site from Pinterest. Orders are pouring in and you might actually be able to hire some help.

People are using Pinterest as a visual search engine. This means that you don’t need 10,000 followers in order for your pins to be seen. Your pins will show up when someone searches for them, simple as that.

So what kind of strategy will help you generate more traffic and sales from Pinterest?

Well, here are the basics:

1. Create eye-catching branded images. You need to get people to stop and take notice in order for them to click.

2. Sign up for rich pins to give your pins more authority and stand out.

3. Research the best keywords to attract your target customer and use them in your board titles and your pin descriptions.

4. Find group boards to join and get your pins in front of thousands of people.

5. Set up a pinning strategy and then automate it.

6. (Optional) Consider using buyable and promoted pins to get in front of even more potential customers.

I go over a lot of these strategies in my free Pintastic Skills Mini-Course.
